Hello.
I am just new to the forum, so I am sorry if this maybe in the wrong section.
Anyway, recently I have been saving up for a graphics card. I have a very tight budget as I am only young. I've managed to gather JUST enough for the graphics card, however, my brother informed me that using such a card could potentially 'fry' the my computer as I could have a too small of PSU.
My current PSU is only 450W, but in the description, the graphics card says that the system requires 400W to operate. This wouldn't normally alert me, but I have pretty much no experience with power supply's or graphics cards.
Does this mean that my graphics card need 400W for itself, or does it need 400W to share among the rest of the PC?
This is the card I am getting: http://www.ebuyer.com/396968-gigaby...al-dvi-hdmi-pci-e-graphics-card-gv-n650oc-2gi
If you need any information about my system to help answer this question, feel free to ask.
Cheers, Morgan.
