Help! Dvd Drive Wont Play Dvd's!!!

Hey

I hope someone out there can help me out! I have a DVD ReWriter and when i go to play normal DVDs an error will appear on the screen when using windows media player. I tryed power dvd and that just ends up not responding.

Any ideas?

It plays any other disc like a CD / Data disc anything but not dvds

I have updated the firmware and i still have the same problem

my guess would be that either the dvd you tried cant be read by the drive, or it just cant read dvds, period. are you talking about dvds you made?

Nope its a DVD re writer! and im trying to play standard DVD's from the shops region 2

try reinstalling ide drivers. or reformat, that should work if you're willing.
