I want to play cod5 and have it run very smoothly

I was looking at this one but its kinda over my budget. and its not there i thought it was o well.

I was thinking about going with the 512mb toxic. Is there much diffrence betwwen these?

Im open to sugestions try to keep it under $230 or even lower i might just wait to see if they have it in stock doe.

Dude, nVidia, ATi. Both make excellent cards. Don't let people tell you that one is better than the other, get the best bang for the buck instead ;)

For what you want it, the HD4870 sure will let you max it out but for half the price, you can't go wrong with the 9800GT. This is based on the fact that you will be playing COD5 though.
 
Ok, to the guy who said there was no differnce between the two, and the guy worried about it...
ramodkk IS CORRECT!!!! nVidea makes perfectly good cards... there huge, the 9800 is going to be WAY more then enough for ANY COD...
the radeon HDs got there title because they came out with the 4870, in which some cases are better then the 9800... but then radeon lost the title when GTX came out with the 295 (ftw, i love it... eats more then the cookie monster) which is supposidly the best card out....

BUT WAIT!!!!!! a triway SLI 9800gt2 and ull beet the 295 =) (but thats out of your price range...)

trust me, the nVidea is JUST perfect

(i prefer radeon, but thats just me)
 
That's the 9800GTX+ and it's a really nice card, even better than the 9800GT, you really can't go wrong.
