help finding a computer for autodesk maya 2012

I've been trying to find a laptop that will be able to run autodesk maya 2012 with as few problems as possible. I made this laptop on the HP website but im not 100% sure if it will run maya 2012 http://s1087.photobucket.com/albums/j479/James_Drewelow/?action=view&current=1325370941.png If it can't, could someone help me find a computer (PREFERABLY a laptop, but possibly a desktop) that would be able to run maya 2012 for around $800. I would also like to have 6 or 8 GB or RAM. websites with student discounts would also be great. Thanks to anyone that can help me!
 
This should easily run the software and be ok thats a decent setup but for the money if you dont need a laptop i'm sure you can get someone on here to help you build a desktop a lot cheaper.

My biggest concerns were the CPU and graphics card since I don't know much about either of those, but I kinda want a laptop so I can use it for college.
 
That setup should work fine just as codeman stated. Depending on how intense your scenes get, the laptop might get pretty warm...
