help for choosing

I just bought 2GB memory(so i have 4GB now) and i dont know if i should install vista or reinstall XP cuz i have very much viruses

Get Linux and don't worry about viruses.

Prob go with whatever is cheaper and easier to install
if you do a reboot it should get rid of the viruses
and then put in avast and avira as well

I recommend Vista. its more secure than xp.
Get a good antivirus and a good firewall9 dont rely on windows firewall, it wont help much).

4GB is the upper limit of RAM suppoerted by 32 bit vista, so u will not complain about speed.

i agree with u... nd banana ..vista although it has some draw backs at for lower memory pcs it has great security features ...nd as scuba said install avg nd avira both... you will be in safe hands .... if u r in advance fields of computer go for linux ... or else stick with windows vista ... i ve tried both nd definately vista is superior to xp at higher ram installed like the one you have..

If you are going to upgrade to more ram in the future, I would go with a Vista x64 OS.

You might want to change your signature a little. Under OS, you have "Vista Ulitmate 34bit". Never heard about a 34bit one.

thx...i decided to go on Vista x64,i got BitDefender 2009 and i'll probably get 2 more GB of memory,yea thx ppl
