Hi all - looking to buy a new laptop and have upto £600. I am looking to go with Dell as I have been advised good things about them.

I am not a heavy gamer but might be a light gamer (football manager, golf games, age of empires sort of stuff) should my new laptop be capable of it. Will be using it for photo's , music, word processing and surfing the net

i have four in mind but need advise on what benefits each will give me over the other. i am in the dark with regards to the hierachy of the processors and the graphics cards Happy to buy the most expensive it will give the machine a longer lifespan or if it will man that i wont find myself unable to do certain things. Here are the four i am looking at:

1) £499 - 501R, AMD Turion II Dual Core, 2.5 GHz, 2M, 3.6 GT/s (whatever that means ?), 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550V, 500GB HD, 4MB ram.

2) £579- 501R, AMD Phenom II Quadcore N930, 2.0GHz, 2M, 3.6 GT/s, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550V, 640GB HD, 4MB Ram.

3) £499 - 15R, Intel i5, 3M, 266 GHz, Intel GMA HD, 500GB HD, 4MB RAM

4) £599 - 15R, Intel i5, 3M, 266 GHz, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, 650GB HD, 4MB RAM

Sorry if this is a very basic question but i just dont know what to buy - which is the best processor - what is the difference between them, What is the difference in the graphics cards, Will one have a longer lifespan than the others (in terms of spec) Any advice for a novice would be welcome.

Check up benchmarks for cpu/ video card at cpubenchmark.net/ videocardbenchmark.net
It tells you which one is faster.
