help gigabit lan card goes at 100Mbits

hey my gigabit lan card goes at 100Mbits .. so when i'm copying stuff from computer to computer its annoying i have a gigabit switch and i've tested it with the other computer's so the switch is fine, the other comptuers can go at a gigabit but this just this one can't, and yes I'm sure its a gigabit card.
 
um. what does the light on the black blink. it should blink orange if it is gig and green if it is fast eathernet
 
In device manager, you can usually force the interface type. Have you tried setting it to 1000 rather than auto-negotiate?
 
Is the speed being reported as 100? or are you just getting 100 in terms of transmission speed? Are you using Cat 5 cable? or Cat 5-E / Cat 6?
 
sweet thanks guys i've fixed it, it was actually 2 issues... lol i wasn't cat 5e cable and it wasn't set in the device manager ..
