help gta vice city wont play on lcd computer monitor

i bought this lcd 8ms lcd 20 inch computer monitor and vice city would work on my old 17 inch crt but it will not work on my lcd computer monitor i click on the thing to start game and all it does is act like its trying to load but then it stops loading it doesnt even go to any of the rockstar game screens or anything saying whos the game made by and so forth i even tried the 1.1 patch and that didnt work

other games work fine just this one wont work
 
It probably has something to do with the resolution and not the monitor itself. You could try setting a custom resolution that is the same as the native resolution of your monitor, that's the only thing I can think of right now.
 
well

the game has been set for 1024 x 768 pixels at 60 hertz and the monitor is set to that as well and i am using my dvi instead of vga

do you think that could be why my final fantasy 7 game doesnt seem to work too well anymore cuz it dont seem to do the scenes nowdays
