The problem I am having is windows media player keeps crashing and internet explorer keeps restarting... As far as internet explorer goes it seems to only happen on certain pages. One of these pages I keep noticing the most is myspace. My girlfriend says she wont even use my desktop anymore to try to check it. She says the other day it kicked her off and restarted internext explorer like 5 times in a row. I am using my desktop right now though and am having no problem... With windows media player it will do it the when I open it the first time but once it crashes I can open it up again and it will work fine.
I am running windows vista 64-bit and it will pop up those little fix it messages. The message is telling me this....

"Download latest version of NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

This problem was caused by NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller, which was created by NVidia.

A newer version of this product is available that might solve this problem."

I have downloaded and installed this driver and then uninstalled and reinstalled this driver. The problem still persists. I posted on another support forum and all sorts of people have looked at the thread but no one has replied to it with any information. PLEASE HELP!!! This issue is driving me nuts and any feedback I could get would be welcome. I would really appreciate it.

Post the specs of your PC. If it's built by Dell, HP, etc...post the model name and number.

I built the computer myself. I posted what mother board, processor, video card, etc... is in it on my first post. If there are any other specifics you would need to know let me know. Im not sure what other info about the computer I could post...

Crap! I just looked at my first post and I didnt put it in there. Sorry about that. Here everything is

Motherboard --- NVIDIA NForce 780i SLI (EVGA 132-CK-NF78)
Processor --- Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz
Video Card --- NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Hard Drive --- 500gb SATA
OS --- Windows Vista 64-bit

If there is anything else you would need to know just let me know. Sorry about not getting that in on the first post. I must have just spaced it and then jumped the gun on sayint that I did. Again, sorry about that too...

Can no one help me? Would anyone maybe know any other reason something like this would be happening besides there being an issue with that driver? I have noticed those little fix it windows can sometimes be wrong. I was having an issue with Internet Explorer a while back and it was telling me it was because I didnt have a program for "smart web printing" installed. I wasnt even doing anything with printing... So I know that it can be wrong so maybe it is wrong now. I dont know where else to go though or what else may be able to cause something like this to happen...
I would really appreciate any feedback anyone has. Even if its just a thought. Anything helps!! :)

Have you check for virus', spyware, etc.? I just fixed a computer for my cousin and he had ad-aware, spybot and avg and he still had 3 virus' on his computer! I ran Spyware doctor and it found and destroyed everything. He was having a similar problem except his windows media player would just lag out every 5 or 10 seconds making things impossible to watch! Try running the trial version, just type it into google. Hope this helps let me know if it finds anything. If not we'll try something else.

:) The general answer for problems like Internet Explorer restarting, in my experience, is because either java script is disabled, or you are running off of a proxy. You should probably stop using internet explorer, as you will run into more problems in the future anyways.

I would recommend getting your hands on Mozzila's firefox, or Googles Chrome (new but fast and nice)

Any other questions just message me :)
