help I can't get MS Office to install

I have a computer that is a few years old and I finally got a hold of an MS Office disk 2000 version The problem is that when I try to install it, it gets up to a point and then tells me that some word file doesnt exist. I desperatley need to get excel on my computer and I cant
 
I could be wrong here but it sounds like a bad copy ;-). If so then cannot help ya but If It's legal then take back the cd to where you purchased it for and exchange or refund.

Never hurts to try installing it on another computer, make sure the cd is clean as well as the optical drive.
