Help! I can't get this wireless router set up...

I am trying to set up a wireless network between 2 computers, I am using a Linksys WRT54GL on my XP computer and a Rosewill RNX-N1 dongle on my new Windows 7 computer (this connection will eventually be reversed when everything is set up). Everything seemed to go great when I installed the dongle on the new computer and that side of the network seems fine, but the instruction for the router are either confusing or non-existent, and I am stuck on how to continue. I saved the network settings on a USB flash drive and then inserted the flash drive into the new computer to transfer the settings, that seemed to go OK, but before that the prompt said to plug the flash drive into the "internet source point". I assumed that was the first computer that transferred the settings to the flash drive - did I miss something there???


Also, to continue set up, the router is asking me for all kinds of info that I have not been able to find, including:

Internet Type (DHCP, PPPOE, Static IP (default), PPTP, L2TP and TELSTRA are the dropdown choices)

IP Address

Subnet Mask

Gateway

DNS1
DNS2


My internet is cable, provided by suddenlink, I have been cruising their site trying to find this info to no avail. any help??

FYI you can get a pdf for the router here for future reference if a copy did not come with the router.
