Help! I can't see!

I was using my laptop (still am atm) and the backlight in my screen died

It is a dell insiron 2200 from 2005 so it is out of warranty

what can I do?

Well like you said, the backlight in the monitor died.

I don't think you can actually fix that so I think you need to get a new monitor (laptop unless you can get a new monitor on that laptop. Can you even do that? I know nothing about laptops).
