Hi,
My sister's laptop is a dell using windows xp. She has an ipod mini and I wanted to move her iTunes songs from my laptop to hers. I wiped all the songs of her ipod mini, then copied all her songs on the laptop onto her ipod's harddrive.. as data files. now when i plug to ipod into her laptop and click "Add files to library.." and select the songs on her ipod harddrive - there's no reaction from iTunes.. I tried dragging them into the library and tried adding songs to the library that were on her laptop originally.. no result. it's only her laptop that has done this, there's no problem importing songs with my laptop. Help please!!

Enable the ipod as an external hdd in iTunes then it should show up as an external hdd under my computer, then drag and drop.

Enable the iPod as an external harddrive?? I enabled disk use through iTunes - if that's what you mean?? I can view the datafiles on the iPod when I plug them into the laptop, any computer for that matter - I just can't add them to this iTunes on my sister's laptop..

Yea i have never had any good luck with iPods. Have you tried dragging songs on the iPod without using iTunes, then safely remvoing the drive?
