Help in buying a computer

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a decent gaming computer for about 1500-2500 dollars, I want at least dual graphics cards (don't have to be the best but something pretty recent like the 9800gt), and a nice processor, (dual quad doesn't matter)

Thanks

Are you living in the US or Canada?

Are you willing to buy the computer from a website, probably without seeing it first?

Would you be willing to try and build the computer yourself (with guidance from a threads on this forum, if needed)? From your post, I assume you don't want to build.

Please post back with the required information, and then we can help you out.

Newegg.com do some fairly good PC's, some in your price range, and some even cheaper.

I found a CyberPower Gamer Infinity 7511 @ $1049.99 + $29.99 shipping. It doesn't have dual GPU's, but is quite a bit under your budget (and the 9800GTX+ is awesome anyway). Specs are:

  • Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz
  • 4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
  • 500GB SATA-II
  • GeForce 9800GTX+ 512Mb
  • 600W PSU

It's quite upgradeable too, for future compatibility. It can do SLi too, when/if you're ready to upgrade.

I also found a CyberPower Gamer Infinity 9310 @ $1569.99 + $29.99 shipping. It has dual 8800GT's @ 512Mb, and is fairly potent for games - for a budget PC. Specs are:

  • Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz
  • 4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
  • 500GB SATA-II
  • GeForce 8800GT 512Mb SLi (dual cards)
  • 600W PSU

Should be fairly good there, although won't be able to play stuff like Crysis and Age of Conan at max, just slightly toned down a bit. You're looking at about $3000 for a Crysis Cruncher.

If you need a monitor (don't know if you do), the Acer X193W+BD Black 19" @ $159.99 is fairly good. Has a good sized resolution of 1680 x 1050 so you can fit a lot on screen, and has a 2000:1 constrast ratio (sharper, clearer picture). It also has DVI to make the image look even better.

Hope this helps, and that one of these is good for you. If you want some reviews, click the links I gave you, then click the Customer Reviews tab on the top right.

For the OP, are you willing to build?? if so, i can do you a good build with that big budget! :P

Building isn't hard.

What do you need??? Just the box or everything???

Thanks
