Help in shopping for SoundCard

what is there to look for in a sound card shopping for one for $30, at most ill pay. i dont know what makes a sound card better than another ?

You mean sound card, the link above is a Audigy SE its a software based card, it will sound better than onboard but it doesnt free up any CPU time. For that you need a hardware based card, something like the link below or better

i have a sound card right now, not that great, some off brand, bc my onboard didnt work with VISTA. soo i know getn an onboard is better , but what makes one better than another ????

i just know x-fi is the best and sound blasters are cheaper but decent and i want to point out that you have a crappy videocard as i rma mine : P i had a x1650pro gamer edition superclocked it was the worst card i ever had it was probably same as my geforce 7300
