i bought this fan for my case....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103073

My mobo is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128435

The 2 existing fans are connected to the 3 pin SYS_FAN2 and the PWR_FAN (not sure what the diff is)

The only other fan connector on the mobo is a SYS_FAN1, but it is a 4 pin connection......

The fan comes with a 4 pin conversion plug, but the pins are huge, and would not fit into the small 4 pin on the mobo....

How could I hook up this fan....Directly into the power supply, is that what the larger 4 pin plug is for????

Thx

Would it be a molex connector? You would have to connect it straight from the PSU

Update....I just read around and found that the 3 pin plug on the fans will fit on the 4 pin plugs that are on the MOBO......

Power fan should be the connectors for the case fan, while the system fan should be the fans for the cpu cooler. On mine it reads slightly differently, saying cpu instead of system, but essentially the same idea. It was confusing to me too, so I just decided to run things off the power supply's molex instead. Running it to the psu will run fans on auto, but if you have them going into the motherboard you can control fan speeds manually.

Mine has a slot labeled CPU fan.....The 3 more SYS_FAN 1 & 2 and a PWR_FAN....
I'm assuming that case fans can go on all of the other 3....As the CPU fan is straightforeward....
