help! it wont let me start up the Bioshock demo!

i dl it via steam, and when i click launch the launch thing comes up and then goes away and nothing happens!!! please please please help!!!!

You have to be absolutely sure all of your drivers are up to date, even sound. I couldn't get oblivion to play for the life of me, till I finally decided to download the latest sound drivers.
