Help, just put together a new desktop

I just put together a new desktop and I can't get my OS to install. My HDD is recognized in the bios but when I try to install XP it says it can't detect the mass storage media device. So I tried using the floppy disk provided with my DFI P35 lan party motherboard and it's still not working. What's wrong and what else could I try?

If you are using an IDE Hard Disk, Than you might need to go into your bios and set your hard drive to master not slave. If that does not work, I don't know what to tell you. what are your specs? Also, you might consider checking your jumpers.
