Hello all,
I have in front of me a relative dillema. I just recently moved into a house with 4 of my friends, and much to my dismay, they had ordered an internet package without consulting me, and ended up getting a 40gb per month packet from British Telecom (BT). Normally, for people who don't surf much, I am sure that would have been fine between 5 people - however, one of them is a hardcore gamer, the other downloads music, and the other two download movies. I myself do a bit of everything.
I have tried time and time again to tell them we should upgrade but they will hear none of it. If they so blindly refuse to see the logic, then I at least must make sure I'm covered in the case that we end up using more than 40gb. I think it would be unfair that we all have to pay for something that maybe only one or two people did.
Therefore, I was wondering if you could help me find, or point me to a network monitoring software that monitors total download per month based on MAC address (IP is okay as well, since BT HomeHub (Router) seems to keep static IP addresses.
Thank you very much in advance,
Wal
