Help me build something :D

Okay I posted something last time without a general concept of what the computer I'm looking to build is for. I want you to help me out in selecting the parts because I'm a software guy, not really knowledgeable in hardware other than knowing where to put the memory and cleaning my system from time to time.

I use my computer mostly for web-intensive applications and software. I'm constantly on uTorrent (For legal stuff :P), I stream movies, I play World of Warcraft daily, I like to play with my Adobe Master Suite CS4 so it has to run process/resource-heavy programs. I have only ran XP and below, without having tried Vista or Win7. I have a lot of uploading and downloading from my hosted server for forum/website. Just a lot of basic use. I really want my computer that I'm going to build to be able to run World of Warcraft at good-maximum settings. I want as little lag as possible, and I would love it if my installations could keep up with my downloads. I always seem to be able to download a lot faster than I can install. I blame my 1GB Ram that just doesn't quite feel like 1GB.

Currently running a Dell Dimension 2350 - so you can probably see my frustration in the speed..

Hit me up with your recommended hardware. I really want to start working on building this by next week when I get paid again. Please assist.

Price range: $300-$800 (Would like to keep it closer to $500 but if you can be cheaper do it :D)

Motherboard:
Processor:
RAM:
Hard Drive:
DVD-RW+ Drive:
Video Card:
Etc:

What are your current specs, and would you be willing to use your current pc as a donor for say optical drives and maybe the power supply or RAM?

Or would you prefer a fresh new build?

For multitasking, you're going to be looking at closer to $800 if you want something decent.

i agree. you might be able to get something decent for 500 bucks, but the point is to future proof your build. if you build something half ass now, chances are youll end up needing a new rig in a few years.

imho, setting a price point of 1000 dollars, and saving money, will get you something amazing with today's current hardware that will last you at least 3-4 or more years.

a grand budget is the way to go, assuming youve already got mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. youll be much happier in the long run, and if you make an epic build, you can brag to your friends :P
