Help me choose a monitor

Hey guys, i haven't been on here for few months because my monitor broke and ive tried to fix it but with no success. I've picked three monitors that i'm currently looking at and i just wanted to see your opinions on them. Also if you have other suggestions for good monitors i'm willing to consider them as well. I really want the brand to be either Samsung or LG. My main use of the monitor is:

- mostly gaming, watching movies on high-def quality and basically browsing the web.

Also my budget is around $300 (max $350 if it's really worth it). The specifications that i really want the monitor to have are:

- 2ms response time, 1920 x 1080 resolution, to be High-Def as well ( but i think they all come High-Def with the resolution that i've mentioned), screen size 21" - max 24".

Those are the three monitors that i have in mind right now:

1. Samsung PX2370 - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...KFK/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec

2. Samsung XL2370-1 - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...FKD/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec

3. LG W2486L - http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-W2486L.jsp

Thanks for the help. :)

It is an IPS panel they are supposed to have low response time and the colour reproduction is amazing.
If you are not interested in an IPS panel then you can go with TN-LED

This one is TN CCFL 21.5' 2ms Response time Looks deadly and not glossy

Then you can try this TN-LED 5ms response

Then there is also this one

But I would rather go with the NEC monitor

mihir - the monitors that i'm looking at right now i think they are TN-LED monitors. I know the IPS has better color reproduction but i hear they are better monitors for graphic design. I hear that for games TN are better. I'll definitely take a look at the ones you've suggested. :)

kobaj - i'm looking at the 2ms response time because people say it's better for gaming. There wont be any lag at all. Also i'm looking at Samsung/LG because i guess they are top brands at making monitors. But i'll take a look at the monitors you've suggested as well. :)

I know you are looking for TN-LED but IPS monitors also serve well in gaming.

As for the response timing a difference or .000003 seconds is barely noticeable

I see... ok so what can be the highest response time that is good for games so i wont have problems with lags... Thanks.

There really is no difference to the naked eye between 2ms and 5ms that would do anything for gaming. Google "2ms vs 5ms" and you can see for yourself. Specially when you spend so much more for a low ms like that.

Between the two you linked it looks like it MIGHT be 1 is 16:10 and the other 16:9. I could easily be wrong here but the only difference I can see is one is wider and the other taller.

Thanks. The ones that i listed i think they are all 16:9. But yeah i'll do some search on that too and then i'll decide which one i want to get from the list that i have and the choices that the people on here posted. :)
