ok so i will see if I can go with the saphire, i have an older motherboard but it has an AGP so it should work right?

why do you just buy a
1.athlon xp 2800+ $87
2. AGP 1300 256mb + $65
3. 1GB stick of ram pc4200 $35
total:$187
granted this is a "cheaper" way to go but it least it would give you SOME performance. i would build a whole new machine if i were you but you dont have the money. this setup might even get you to play games like call of duty 2, company of hereos, ect. they wont run at the highest setting but they might run.

The Sapphire 9600Pro isn't a bad deal, but just to point out a couple more options:

With a bit of luck, you might even be able to unlock one of those to 12/16 pipelines (see http://www.computerforum.com/42527-unlocking-rivatuner.html for information on how it's done - I haven't updated that guide in a long time, given that it's no longer possible to unlock current-generation cards, but most of it should still be the same).

I want a new computer but I actually have a valid reason. I didn't get my birthday present nor do I think my parents want to give me a christmas present and im going to college soon so, taking that all into consideration, I should get a new computer.
