Help Me Decide On Parts For My Pc

I want to make a budget gaming pc for £400-£500 (i know that it is a low budget but thats all ive got)
Because im from the UK i have to get all my stuff from this site: www.overclockers.co.uk

Can anyone pic me out ALL the parts i will need to make a gaming machine in my budget????

I will be playing games like Unreal Tournament 2007 and be using Software like paint shop pro etc.

Please help me!

Well with your budget you would benefit from OCing since you will have to sacrifice quality for affordability.

My suggestions.

Get a C2D since they OC well and get a good case and PSU. :-)
 
1) Overclockers are expensive. Dabs are cheap, so...

CPU: Athlon 64 3200+ AM2 - £54
Memory: Corsair 2x1GB DDR2 PC5300 - £158
Motherboard: MSI K9N ULTRA - £70
Graphics Card: 7300 GT - £55
PSU: ANTEC 500W - £57
Case - £34
DVD Rewriter - £19
Hard Drive - £45

Total £492.

Im not sure if that will handle UT 2007 on high settings. I think you would benefit with a dual core processor, and a better graphics card, but your budget wont allow that.

EDIT: Forgot Windows XP. That adds £61 to the total cost, pushing it up to £553.

Well, its between Dabs and Ebuyer. Dabs have great delivery times, but Ebuyer have the option of a buy-now-pay-later scheme, so you COULD get a much better computer.
 
im thinking to buy a gpu later, i just want the pc up and running, ill just save until i got enough money for a really good graphics later.
Yeah I would really like a E3600 so i could run UT2007 on high.

1GB of memory wont run UT2007 very well.

You will NEED that graphics card, or else you wont SEE anything.

If you happen to find a few hundred quid, then I can redo everything. Until then, the above list is the best I can do with your budget.
 
i mean my budget for the computer not inc graphics card is £400-£500
ill get the graphics card later when i have the money.

so is there january sales in dabs????
 
I don't actually know what sites have Jan sales and which dont.

A new motherboard will have to be picked, one with integrated graphics.
