Help me decide which MOBO????

I have been trying to build a gaming PC for my son.
I have been looking at an Asus P5k-E LGA 775 ATXp35 mobo. with an intel core 2 duo 6750 conroe 2.66 GHZ. with an EVGA 512-p3-n801-AR GeForceGT pci express 2x16 video card. Any recomendations, Its been 8 years since my last build--- a lot has changed. thanks Tod
 
I would suggest a Gigabte p35-DS3l over that motherboard. I'm running pretty much the same system (except i have a P35-DS3R motherboard) and I'm getting awesome performance. best bang for the buck season I've seen in years. Good luck on your build. :)
 
gigabyte is good. Look into the X38s. Dual pcie slots with 2.0 compatibility, as well as 45nm native tech, and faster ram capabilities
