Help me find out what I need to upgrade

As title says its my birthday and my dad said im under a money limit im syaing more then likely 250$
Heres what i ave currently
Intel Xeon l5506
8Gb Of ddr3 but it is random sticks i get 800mhz out of them
Radeon 6970 880 mhz 2gb
Im thinking my cpu will be ok is it just ram and gpu i need?

You seriously run a Xeon in a home PC? That one is pretty old, though. That'd be the first thing to upgrade, along with a motherboard to support whatever you got.
The RAM would be next. The GPU is pretty good.

This. The Xeon is a workstation CPU and isn't really designed for "normal" use, including gaming. The 6970, while old, is still decently powerful and would take upgrade priority behind the CPU and motherboard IMO.

CPUs are CPUs. The Xeon would be 'OK' for general computing tasks, the issue is that the model you have has a pretty low clock speed.

If you upgrade your GPU, you'll be a bit held back by the Xeon. If you upgrade your CPU, you'll be a bit held back by the 6970.

Personally I'd save up a bit more and do a full system upgrade.
