anyone want to really help me overclock my amd 8350?

I don't know if it will help, but I stream and i get 50-60 fps in game

if I overclock is there even a chance I can see a 10 fps increase?

An overclock will help, not that much. But if you're streaming at the same time, I think it will be more effective in that situation.
Overclocking that fx isn't difficult, you can just oc to 4.2ghz with stock voltage.

edit: sorry for the off-topic here but,...
Can you plz test my bench in my sign and post your results in the thread? I want your cpu really really bad in the table :S.

Yeah, I think I want to try to go for 4.7ghz because I don't want to have to get a new mobo and a intel processor :(
I just have no idea on how to do it, and i'd fail trying to do it by myself was hoping someone wanted to teach me and tell me exactly what to do :D

also I posted benchmarks for you :D

Where do you live?
What are your other specs?
What case do you have?
The most important component for gaming is the gpu. But if you're streaming on the same time, an oc will help you to get it done more fluently.
You could oc to 4.2 ghz with stock cooler, you won't see much difference though....
So go in bios pressing DEL on startup screen. A screen with options will appear
Probably you'll have to go to advanced mode (don't know what mobo you have).
Then just look around until you see multiplier or cpu BLCK speed,...
Set that to manual and you'll be able to edit the multiplier and bus speed.
Normally it says multiplier 20, set it to 21. If you look somewhere above or beneath it you'll see voltage vcore, set that to manual and type the cpu's stock voltage.
Enable load-line calibration, disable cpu spread centrum, enable pll overvoltage and disable all powersaving tools like EPU,...
Then do save settings and reset, and your system is oc'ed.

Well I thought I had to change something with the ram as well?, my cpu has a turbo that puts 2-4 cores to 4.2 so I am wanting 4.7

I know the most important thing for gaming is the gpu, I wanna tell you some facts and ask a question my computer has 60-80 fps in game with this current gpu and when streaming I get like 50-70
my friend with a i7 2600k at stock and a evga gtx 570 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130621) gets 10-20 fps higher then me when streaming and when not gets like 30fps higher then me, could I save some trouble and just get a better gpu? I need 10 more fps :D

I live in canada, and this is my computer

Disable C1E and Cool & Quiet. Bump the multiplier to 21. Should be able to do it with stock voltage. Would not go above 4.2ghz. with the stock cooler as said. Get you a good after market CPU cooler and jump up to a 7950 or 7970.

Strangle I don't want to buy another radeon card, this is why, my other computer has a phenom II x6 @ stock and a GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 and it runs smite just as good as my vishera + radeon HD 6950 I kinda wanted to go for a nvidia card ;/

Like.. I could be wrong but it just seems radeon is getting beat by everything :(

and Strangle, is that really all I have to do? even if I wanted it to go further after I buy a after market cooler?

also can you reccommend me a aftermarket cooler that will be able to help it go to at least 4.7ghz?

Well you got something wrong with the system. A HD6950 will stomp a GTX 550ti. I mean a old 4870 will give it a run for its money. Even a 6850 beats it. You got the latest chipset and video card drivers?.

I do, I just ran amd auto detect and it said I have latest driver, and I've been updating it when it tells me theres a new update hmm..

but I mean couldn't it also be the game that just prefers nvidia for whatever reason? >>

No, I have a 6950 on mine right now. Does pretty good. Did you download the drivers from AMD or just the windows update? Use the one from AMD, download them. Uninstall you other drives and install the new one. When you first install them, pick uninstall all old drivers. Then run it again and install this time around. Not sure, but you do have a Gigabyte board, if so download and Install the Chipset/sound/Lan drivers from Gigabyte. In install them in order of Chipset/Video/sound/Lan.

from amd and the first thing i did when I got this computer was install the motherboard things and it is a gigabyte board

but I guess I can try it ;/

I searched my motherboard and theres different rev that number doesnt matter right?

http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3894#sp this is my mobo, how do I know if it supports pci e 3.0 gpus? I can't even find where it says that

also when reading this it talks alot about updating bios.. should I try to do that?

update: went ahead and updated bios computer wouldn't load operating system so then I reloaded the old bios it STILL wouldn't load up then after restarting and going into bios and setting it to fail safe defaults it worked but it started up really slow.. any idea whats going on?

An hd7870 will give you around 8-10 fps more or if you have some more to spend an hd7950 will do what you want it to.

thanks can you help me I updated my bios, and it wouldn't load my operating system so then I just did set it to fail safe defaults again and it ran and i'm on the new bios but it started up slow and seems a little slower then normally, wonder whats going on ? D: even when I switched back to the f4 bios it was slower hmm.. does it have something to do with the fail safe defaults?

edit: ok.. I shut it down and put it on optimized defaults and I think its better now.. but after I did it I had a computer can't start windows error and I just chose run windows normally and it started o_O

Yeh, if you shut the pc down manually, that error will always appear.
So, now just go in bios and do what I and stranglehold said.

If you want to oc higher, you'll need a better cooling.
I would recommend you a watercooler starting from; h2o 920 from antex or h80 from corsair.
Or a high-end aircooler; The thermalright silver arrow sb-e, noctua nh-d14 or a Phanteks cooler.
The FX8350 does produce pretty much heat when overclocked, if you want a daily overclock of 4.7ghz. I'd suggest to have a load temp under 70°C, better to have it under 65° though.
All these coolers will do 4.7ghz easy. But it is a must to have low temperatures for a daily overclock.

I suggest you first to read some overclocking guides and infos before you're doing that 4.7ghz you want...
