1. My windows 7 stopped booting
2. On reinstalling, it showed blue screen of death error
3. I wasn't being able to remove previous windows files by formatting
4. I used a live disc of linux fedora to format all my drives and installed fedora instead. It merged all the volumes and made it one.
5. When I tried to install windows 7 again, it showed that the media is write protected
6. I tried to install ubuntu from usb, but it still required the usb I used to boot. I could remove the usb after boot, but it won't boot without it. I tried reinstalling it, but same problem occured again
7. Then I realized that I did not have permissions to write in the filesystems. So I searched around the internet a bit to make it writable. I read a command in one place a command "sudo chmod -r 777 * /" or something similar to that and tried it out expecting it to make those places writable. But everything kind of changed after that. I lost the internet connection access, wifi's tray icon(i don't know what it is called), shut down or even restart did not work, could not use "su" even after giving password correctly with error message "setgid: operation not permitted", could not use sudo to access super user either and could not use sudoin Konsole and it said that it failed to load the plugin or something similar to that.
8. I tried installing windows again, but it cannot recognize the type of file system volume has and can't format since it is write protected.

I want windows back, what should I do to get this write protection disabled.. I can't even format this volume.
