Hey guys,
okay im getting very frustrated with my system atm,It just does not want to overclock since getting my new board( ASUS P5Q SE P45),no matter what i try....it either wont boot...(system comes on but monitor stays in stand-by) OR....it boots but when i check cpuz its still at stock clocks? wth
Ive followed this tut from Tomshardware...
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/249352-11-overclocking-asus-series
Its very detailed and specific on what settings to use to get a 3.6Ghz oc on the Q6600.....yet i just cant get it to work.
I previusly had my Q6600 overclocked to 3.2ghz on a cheap MSI P35 mobo and i can tell you now,It was hell of alot easier to overclock on that than it is on this Asus board.
Seriusly guys,i realy hope someone can help...thats why ive been thinking of just selling the damn thing and doing a complete rebuild,But then that means spending big money.
