Please help me pick a new mouse. I have been looking at razar mouses and i like the Razer Diamondback 'Plasma' Limited Edition Infrared Optical Precision Gaming Mouse, 7-Buttons independently programmable, 1600DPI, USB2.0. has anybody have/used this mouse, is it anygood?

I will probably use it for gaming/word/email/internet etc.
and if anyone can recomend another mouse.

Thanks Blake :D

Heya

I have the Razer Diamondback Magma Edition (1600dpi) and it's great. I have never used a better mouse in my life. I personally think Razer mice are better than Logitechs but I guess it's a matter of preference. Anyway, the MX1000 is a great mouse but has some negatives, including needing to be recharged, heavy and generally not suitable for gaming. I would highly recommend you get a Razer. No serious gaming enthusiats would tell you that the MX1000 is a good gaming mouse.

Ouch a little harsh!
Well I have to admit I am a Gamer... Your definition of a serious gamer.. I don't know. I am a big buy also, very large hands and the weight personally doesn't bother me. I have never had a problem with the charging on my mouse... Maybe 2-3weeks it needs a charge.

Hehe,

I did not mean that the mouse is bad. In fact it's very good. However, it is not the best choice when it comes to gaming. I would recommend it when one does graphics editing and so on. One thing is the sensor which turns itself off when the mouse is lifted and has a delay when the mouse is put back on the mat. I see the fact that the mouse has to be charged as a disadvantage. However, as I said, it's a matter of personal preference. Go to a shop and see for yourself which suits you best.

They are the same, other than the colour. I know I was deciding between the blue and the red.

Honestly, I can't see myself spending so much on a mouse. Right now I'm using a $20 Memorex wireless mouse and it's honestly the best one I've ever had. 5 button, good size/weight, and the buttons still click really nicely after owning it for a few years. Just proving that the cheap mice aren't always crap :P

MMMMM i haven't seen close up pics of the copperhead Nice.
yeah its quite a bit of mula for a mouse but i really like the design:D and i have a crappy microsoft optical mouse at the moment. :( and im after a good quility mouse. I think if i get any of the above i'll get a blue one, red is too common you never see blue.

I got my copperhead 2 days ago and it is amaaazing. For sure worth every penny. No problems with it. I highly recommend this mouse for the little extra that it is...and for the sweet rap-around LEDs:)
