I just bought a new sony vaio desktop, its a VGC-Ra840G model.
it runs on windows xp media center edition 05

ok so my question is this, my comp has rca input plugs in the front panel, so i assume i can plug in anything that has rca plugs. so i want to plug in my playstion 2 into it and be able to play my playstation using the computer monitor. well i plugged the ps2 in but nothing happens. i called tech support and they told me to use media center, but that doesnt work. anyway, is there a program that will allow me to play my playstation (or anything with rca plugs i.e. VCR, DVD player) on my comp?

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Are you sure that those are RCA-in sockets, and not RCA-out? That's the first thing that comes to mind. It'll probably state in the manuals that came with it.

ya it says video input. thanks johnny i will try to mess with the display properties. if anyone else can give me some pointers i would appreciate it thanks

The specs for anyone who's looking are here

That, would be a bad assumption. You can plug anything that uses RCA plugs -- of the same type (i.e., both video and audio streams use RCA)

First grab the appropriate drivers .. i dont know whether yer X300 is built in or not so im gonna list them all:
- Onboard
- Standalone Radeon card
