Why is it when I right click on my C: drive and it says 30g free and 45g in use.
but when I go into C: and highlight all the files and folders and right click and go properties, it only comes up with a size of 28gb?
(This is on my main partition)
Im confused because I thought that HDD space used for formatting doesnt even show up?
Please help hehe.

Have you got "Do not show hidden files and folders" ticked. You are only looking at the properties of what is being shown.
System files and folders are not being included in your "child" search maybe.

Sorry, some people describe it as "parent" and "child" directories.
So under tools/folder options/view you have hidden files showing?

sorry, but I just wanted to bump this. I've made sure, im showing all hidden and system files, but im still showing 10gig less in use than what its showing me when I view the c: drive externally.

And did you un-click the (hide extension****) and the (hide protected operating system****) boxes as well. I really don't think you will ever be able to get to the entire HD.
