Help me update my computer!!!

I have windows 7 home premium and whenever i goto canirunit.com it always says i cant run it!! This computer sucks and every game lags. I was wondering if maybe I can update my drivers, or my OS. I use to have xp and got upgraded service packs etc, i am not so good with windows 7 idk if they got service packs for it.


I dont know much about windows 7 but if you can please help me to update my computer to the fullest i would be very happy. If you need me to run some sort of scan or post my computer stats please teach me how. I recently broke my leg so i have nothing to do but sit at home bored. Lol

That card is absolute crap, it's ages old and even back then it would have been an entry-level card, I'm surprised that it would run anything at all. What kind of games do you play? If your board has a PCI-E slot (very likely but do check), a graphics card upgrade might well do the trick as long as the games you play aren't very demanding (that CPU isn't wonderful either, but your GPU is far weaker by comparison).
 
I dont play any games. This is my mothers computer, mine crapped out on me so i am stuck with this one. I was looking for a rpg medieval style game like legends of grimrock or something a diablo 2 style game, items, skills, roleplaying whatever. This computer just sucks idk why she bought a stock computer when you can get much better for making your own. Well I guess I am screwed then huh??? Maybe I can salvage the parts from my computer and put them in this one??? my other comp was windows xp and i knew my way around that computer and it was great. I was looking to try and play some older rpg games, nothing new like skyrim or anything i was looking for games around 1995-2005. windows 7 aint my thing
 
Can you still help me to make sure my drivers are all up to date? I notice i only have service pack 1 as well, can you help me get the latest one?
 
Service pack 1 is the latest for Windows 7. Windows 7 is by far much better than XP. XP's supports ends next week so you wouldn't get any more updates for it anyway. Get you a dedicated video card and you should be fine. Your onboard video won't play much.
 
So yeah basicly I need to either buy a newer computer, or build a better computer. Honestly what is the best OS for a gaming computer now adays??? This sucks because alls i want to do is play some damn video games lol
 
I would just get Windows 8.1 since it's the newest. Don't bother with anything older. Windows 7 is nearly 5 years old now...
