Hello there!!..
recently i have bought a geforce graphics card 256mb 6200 , but when i tried to put it in my computer i discovered that im not able to :( , because my computer takes AGP , anyway i was wondering can i change my motherboard and or do anything to fix it??? FYI my computer is an pentium 4 2.8Ghz with 1Gb ram ..
thank u!..

so you bought a geforce 6200 pci express version isntead of the AGP version then?

In that case if you want it to work then your looking at a new motherboard that accepts pci express, tis the only way. Check out Ebuyer if your in the UK, or Newegg if your in the US. Easy to find on google.

Need to know what socket your chip is too, pentium 4 was socket 478, socket 423 or socket 775 i believe.

then your just looking for a PCI-E motherboard with the correct socket

Just return the 6200 (Which isnt avalible in AGP) and get something like a 6600gt. However, If you wish to do a full upgrade, then you would need a Skt 478 mobo, im pretty sure there are no 2.8Ghz LGA775 P4s.
