Hi all
I have just ripped a CD image (.ISO) from my disks because it was getting damaged, it was a game and came on 2 disks. I successfully stored the images onto my document and then began the process of re installing them by mounting them onto my HDD, I could only mount them separate and not as one, successfully installed the game from here but then when I go to open the game to play it, it displays this error
"Please insert the correct CD-ROM"

I am not playing the game from a CD-ROM so why does this error appear, is it because they are mounted separately on my HDD or have I done something else wrong??

Please Help many thanks

i know exactly what u are doing.
U have downloaded a pirated copy from internet, or from somewhere, which always come in iso format.
Dont try to fool me, coz i have seen a lot like this. And also i know exactly what u should do, to run the game. But i wont tell u.

If u extract an iso from an original disc u wont have any problem with playing it, by mounting on a virtual drive.

I know i am correct. Buy urself an original game....Always.

Thanks for your help but i managed to fix the problem on my own and by the way it worked when i put the DISK!!! in that was all what was wrong so thanks for painting me like the rest but i am not a illegal downloader

U know, I always knew that this will be ur most probable answer.
Well i am not doing anything like character assassination.

I have known friends who used pirated games, and they had the same problem mounting them. And they did "something", and it worked, but if i posted it here, i would probably be banned.

I can bet that if u rip iso of an original disc, u will have no problem in playing with the image mounted on any virtual drive. And if ur problem was a genuine one, u would have got many solutions, other than mine. And u know, why u didn't get any reply??? Because no one, who do what u said, will have any such problem.
