Okay i wanted to build a new system and i said building your own damn computer is cheaper then buying a brand name. SO he said then okay if you can show me i can build a comp cheaper then the $300 dell comp then i can build my own system. lol help
 
Crap!!! i did it and i came out with the cheaped like 250 around there with mouse and keyboard. Biggest problem speakers and a freakin moniter damn... i think im stuck where can i get a moniter for 20 bucks or less. I guess i cant beat the buying power of dell.

My dads toying with me he obiously knows that the cheaper you go that dell's got more advatage for buying power... damn he thinks he offered me a one sided challange i show him!!!!

tell him to order that dell. it's never 300 bucks. it'll be 300 bucks...plus 100 bucks shipipng. and blah blah blah. Im telling you, a brand new system for 300 bucks isnt happening...at least not that i know of.

that and dells are unreliable, hard drives are always failing within 6 months. Plus, you donr know whats in the dell, with a custom build you know exactly whats in it, how it goes together, and you could butter him up by saying you are improving yur knowledge by doing this.... he he

thats not goona do $hit with my dad i need to show him "here look i built the same system with brand names for 250 dollars and i got the moniter an speakers and mouse for 50 and shipping is only 50 dollars for everything. Thats what my dad expects

your dads an idiot, lol, joking. No, thats gonna be hard to beat, cant you kinda tell him that the performance will be less if you buy the dell. get some facts and figures about dell and their returns rate, its nearly double that of any other company the sells pc's
 
dell is cheaper because they are big company and can afford to give free shipping and free monitors.
 
You are not going to be able to build this system for cheaper, for several reasons. One you can't get hold of all the part because dell make them in house (or outsource a few). They have massive economies of scale and synergies.
But then again, can be poo computers. And that cpu wont cu much mustard with todays heavy stuff. They have deals with microsoft for cheap os's, which is something no-one has mentioned yet.

well i think i just did beat my dad. Okay i got the system and mouse and keyboard and speakers for 311.24 all from new egg that leaves out alot of room for a moniter thats all i need.

Edit: Woops forgot the printer lol

oaky jsut bought the same printer from dell for 50 dollars for everything even shipping if anyone can do better with the printer please do reply!!! that leaves around 70 dollars for moniter and shipping... i honestly think i can do better with the printer though...

Its around 65 with shipping and everything so tha makes around 405 bucks thats 25 bucks cheaper then a dell with all brand name parts. Whats better in my comp i think the psu and the hd and cd drive its 52x ahhhh! lol and yeah the ram. Guess you really can beat dell prices hahaha thank god newegg doesnt add tax and has cheap shipping unlike dell otherwise i wouldnt have been able to do this.
