Help! My PC has stopped playing video!

For example in wmp, I select the video, the play button goes to a pause as usual but the seek button which usual moves along as the video plays does not move. The artist and song is indicated at the bottom where the info of the file flashed, yet there is nothing, no audio either! Songs are playing fine its just the videos that dont play!

help please!

Maybe you don't have some video codecs. Try to play videos with VLC Player

most likely you dont have a DVD decoder, you can get the trial of nero, they have a DVD decoder.

I've been playing videos off my pc before its just recently that it has stopped. It's stopped in every player i have including Divx

Re-download...

Re-download and reinstall these codecs here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm I hada simmilar problem not so long ago. I just reinstalled the codecs and all is good now.

I downloaded these and still doesnt work. Did i have to check any extra boxes when installing as i just clicked next when i wasnt sure what to check. Also how come it has made a folder in start menu? Is it safe to uninstall it or will i loose all codecs?
