Help! - My printer's gone mad!

I'm not sure if anyone can help but I'll try asking anyway........

If you know what the problem is (and more importantly how to solve it) please explain in "idiot-proof" language - I'm not very techinically minded and can get sometimes get quite confused with computer "talk"!

I have a HP deskjet 3325 which has suddenly started printing all red items on the screen in yellow on the paper. I've not changed anything on the computer - no upgrades, etc. I've tried reinstalling the software and cleaning cartridges and the contacts but still it prints the wrong colour. Other colours seem to be printing OK (blue on the screen prints as blue, green as green, etc) - it's just red that it doesn't want to print!

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks

I have a similar problem with my printer, an HP Officejet 6500 Wireless.

I have been trying to print a black ink ad on postcards. However, the printing only comes out yellow. When I change the size selection to a standard paper size the printer will print black, so I don't think it is a print-head or low ink issue.

This problem occurs with both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Any advice?

(Also, I am brand new to this forum and couldn't figure out how to post a new thread. I'd appreciate information on how to do this. Don't want to break any rules...)

Thanks.

To post a new thread you need to pick a subforum that best describes your problem and then click on that subforum. On top of the page to the left you will see where it says "new thread", you click on that to create a new thread.

However, to solve your problem, you may want to uninstall then reinstall the printer.
