Hello guys,

I need your help! The mousepad on my laptop has started to work erratically this morning. I point the mouse at something, but it will slide to the upper right corner of the screen, or move at random. I have been using from time to time a small USB mouse with the laptop, and it may have happened that I did not remove it corectly, by clicking the green arrow first. But it went crazy after I installed the Yahoo Messenger program. Now I can use the USB mouse on the laptop, but NOT the built-in mouse pad!!!

Do you have any solution to this? Regards and thanks, Eugen

Maybe you started up the laptop while the mousepad was being pushed to the bottom left, so, like a scale, it needs to be tared. The only way that I know how to do this is by restarting.

the usbmouse did not create the problem. Like Artoonie said above, it is possible that the touchstick 'feels' like someone is pressing up and right when you boot up. Kinda like with a nintendo 64 if you hold the analog to the right and turn on the system, the CPU thinks that position is the neutral position and makes the cursor go off. This may not be the problem, either though. If it bugs you that much, turn it off and use the pad at the bottom or a USB optical mouse or something. That or, get a new touchstick (which I would only do if I used it all the time and KNEW it was broken
