My TV is a sony crt, and has a s-video

My computer does not have s-video

I ordered a vga cable with rca (green, blue, and red) end, but it didn't work.

Image on the screen divided in 3 in wierd colors.

So would a cable with vga on one end, and s-video on the other end do it?

Or do i need something else?

please help~

Those VGA converters won't work unless you have the correct video card...though I guess you figured that much out. You didn't specify what kind of computer you have (laptop or desktop). If you have a desktop, purchasing a cheap video card with TV-Out would probably be your best option. If you have a laptop, there are VGA to RCA/SVHS converters

That would also work with a PC, but I advice against this. The quality is quite low...but also realize the quality is quite low with any form of TV Out. RCA/SVHS is limited to around 720x480 interlaced. Your PC runs as non-interlaced/progressive. The conversion kills the quality.
