help needed with dvd playback

Just taken delivery of a new Mesh PC and I am learning fast about the skills needed to use a modern multimedia system, especially considering the only setup instructions are on a single fold out sheet.
First problem was thinking I could set up a wireless network .2 days of experimentation before I sussed it.
Anyway thats another thread. Can someone tell me why I get the message 'Fatal error. Failed to load the video decoders' when I try to play a dvd.
I have just spent over 30 mins on the technical mesh help listening to some recorded message telling me how important my call is to them. Answer the *$^%+"& phone then!!!!

use this program much better than windows media player it plays everysingle type of file ive ever used (even wierd 3d dvd's )

Thanks guys for your suggestions.I have however managed to download some ATI dvd decoders from their website (I have a ATI graphics card) which seem to work.
What concerns me is how my pc lost the decoders in the first place!!!!!
Funkymonkey8u do you still advise me to use your link and download a different player?

well its up to you whether u want just 1 player for almost all of ur media

If u feel happy with Windows Media Player then y change. If u fancy something different then download that program.
