Help needed !

Hi.
I'm kinda new to the forum and I need some help from you guys.I'm tired of looking for some software,so I thought maybe somebody here can help me.
I'm looking for a software that devide videos or movies.
and I'm wondering if its there a software that reduce the files size other than Winrar zip, I mean someone that really reduce the size not just 1 or 3 Mb.
any help will be appreciated.thx
 
Well, the only thing you can do is convert it to a more compact video type, or decrease the quality. Also, WinRAR can divide files just fine.

thx for the help.I didn't know that i can use winrar to devide and wich compact vid type you mean .thx
 
I'm not sure on the specifics, but some video types are more compressed than others. I think AVI was one of the better ones, but if you're sticking it in WinRAR and it's only knocking a few MB off, then it's probably in a format that is already well compressed, so if you want to go smaller, you'll have to find a program that degrades the video quality.

anyway, I think ur looking for a magic answer, but there isnt any
did you know that files stored on your computer are atleast 10 times smaller than they were on your cd.
so compressing them even more would obviously take some of the quality away.
and this also goes for for vids.

I think documents and such can be compressed the most....
