Help new build help!!!1 please

hi i have built my pc, and on the front panel controls of the case, when i plug in headphones to the jack i can only hear the sound in the right ear, and a buzzing/solid beep in the left. is there any way to fix this?
is this a known problem?
My parts are as follows:

Case:: Corsair 600t
Hard drive:: Samsung 1tb
Blue ray disk drive:: LG super multi blue.
Graphics card:: PNY Nvidia Geforce gts 450
CPU:: Intel i5 760
Mobo:: Asus P7P55D-E PRO
Ram:: Corsair Xms3 ddr3 2 2gb stcks
Psu:: corsair HX650W
 
i think maybe you can change another earphone or another computer to figure out whether the reason laying in your earphone or your computer, if it caused by your earphone, that's easy to buy a new one, if not, maybe you should take repairment into account.
