I haven't built a computer in a very long time. I would prefer not to buy parts that do not work together. the links below is my current build. thanks in advance for the help. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, once again I have been out of the computer buildin game for awhile

Mobo - ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO is good, but do you really need to spend that much on motherboard? Personally would get mid range mobo and get CPU heatsink

Case - consider Fractal Design Define R4. H440 don't have external bay, although it may not be necessary nowadays.

PSU - i assume you are going to SLi some point in future?
 
Personaaly, I love the H440, at this point, you dont need a dvd drive. Just use an external one or make a windows boot drive\

Also, you may not want 16 gig of ram over 8 gigs, unless you do a lot of video rendering or the like. And, maybe go for the msi version of the gtx 970, better cooling and overclock potential
