Help New Laptop

I am looking at buying a new laptop.

can someone please explain to me what ram is and what GHz is.

The laptop i am looking at has 2gbRam and a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz
is this good?

It looks OK to me. And I will suggest you choose one with delicated graphic card if you are not for portable use.

RAM is based on memory, how much memory you really have. GHZ is how your processor speed is measured. The more RAM you have, the faster your machine will run, and the more tasks you can do at one time. Having more RAM will always speed up your machine, and having a DUO core processor will make things run more efficiently as well. I think this one is a good one.
