Help (no Power)

I'm building a custom PC.

P4 3.6ghz
Elitegroup p4800pro-m motherboard
nivda 256mb vga graphic card
JPAC 901BS X-BOX ATX Computer case 550w USB2.0 24pin
550w power supply 24 pin

I followed the manual on how to conect the front panel power but I can not get it to power up. It also had a LED screen not hooked up.

pins 1-3 are the Hard Drive Disk (HDD LED)
pins 2-4 are the Messager Led screeb (Power Led + and power -)
pins 5-7 are the Power switch
pins 6-8 are the Reset Switch

all are pluged right or are they not? I can not get a any power

LED screen? What do you mean?

Well, I can't tell you if it's all connected right or not without really seeing it... Just try some combinations...that's all I can say. Maybe even try shorting the jumpers with a screw driver or something to double check that it works. Probably not the best test, but I do it every now and then

A multimeter is one way to see if there is any voltage seen. You could have the connections perfect and be stuck with a bad supply. That would stall the works right there. The best thing to here to get in there with a small light(not electric) and a pocket sized magnifier and double check the connections to be absolutely sure that is correct. If you find something... ? oops! If you don't try another supply in there or grab a basic supply tester or multimeter to see if the supply is.... ???
