ok. just reading up on building computers 101 and i got some questions.
-do u have to have a compound to put on cpu before heatsink?
-does heatsink and compound come with cpu?
-would there be a difference when choosing between onboard video and lets say a nvida something 32mb?

It's strongly recommended for compund to be used, and for $5, it shouldn't be overlooked. On a retail it will come with both, sort of. They may still use epoxy or something like that, but you dont need to reapply it to a retail processor.

Onboard video uses shared memory, which means it takes some of the RAM and uses it, therefore decreasing the amount of RAM that the rest of your computer can use. Getting a dedicated video card is good because it doesn't eat at system RAM.

and would it already be on there, or would i have to put it on like explained in building computers 101?

Yeah, It's cheaper and allows for a nice cooler to be bought with a little extra.I have a feeling it's going to get a lot harder to get OEM in the near future though.
