HELP on internet

i got this pop up sayin...

"You are attempting to install Internet Explorer version 5.0 or earlier on Windows*98. Internet Explorer is already part of the Windows*98 operating system. Installing an earlier version of Internet Explorer will not allow the operating system to function properly."

what can i do about it!

Install a later version of Internet Explorer. Are you trying to install Version 6.0?

Does this popup come on while you're connected or not? (i.e., could it be spyware or is it just the 'normal' messenger service popup)
