Help on OC

I'm trying to OC my brother's computer. Here are the specs...

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ s939 Venice
MSI K8N Neo2 nForce3 Motherboard
Crucial PC2100 (DDR133) RAM

I think that's all that needs to be said. Can someone please help me overclock this to at least 2.2 GHZ? I know the RAM is a bit slow, but please help.

But do you know if I can get to at least 2.4? I got to 2.2 Ghz already. I set the RAM to 100 mhz and default voltages while raising the fsb on the processor to 244. Can anyone help? Thanks for the replies anyways

This is what you should do. Overclock by intervals of 5 until you clocked it too far so it wont boot, jump the bios, and then clock it to 5 below the clock which it crashed at. Then you will know. Ram with significantly help as well as an aftermarket cooler.

Well, using default voltages, after you reach the point where it's not stable (use a stability program, such as PiFast or MemTest 86 for RAM) then start raising the voltages. You could go up to 1.65 volts safely with the Venice, maybe .1 or .2 above the default vDIMM. That should allow you to raise the FSB a little higher and get the most out of the system.

Yeah the RAM is gonna cap you back unelss you loosen the RAM dividers (which isnt reccomended) .. you can try OCing the RAM but i wouldnt expect much out of it. I would try loosening the divider up as much as u can and try something like 8.5x260... so if you run your divider at 15 then, your RAM wil be running at 157MHz ... not too much of a stretch for 133Mhz native memory :)
