Help Over Clocking my Alienware!?

Alright so i have an alien ware that's kinda old, tech wise. XD So as i wait for the Ivy bridge to come out b4 i build my new Desktop i wanted to see if i could overclock my alien ware laptop? for games . its right now running at 1.73Ghz.
So here ill post my specs and you guys hopefully can help me overclock this baby.
By the way i have never really overclocked a computer b4 so maybe a walk-through of the process would be nice too XD

Seems that some out there have cracked the Phoenix BIOS used on these to allow overclocking. http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Alienware-M17x-R2-A10-BIOS-Unlocked-OC-Options is one of the examples.

really there is not much use to overclocking a laptop, as they are really lacking in cooling as is. Any damage caused by overclocking is not covered by any warranty. Advice coming from us comes with no warranty.

simply replacing the bios voids the warranty, i dont recommend it.

Ha ha ha i know ive had this computer for awhile now and i will be upgrading soon. so i want to kind of test out overclocking to see if i can do it >,<. i have a warranty on it. and if there really isn't any real way to overclock it i just wont XD

hmmm, well how much do you guys think i can sell it for? to help build my new computer?

Depends. they go on ebay for $1500 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alienware-m...ptops_Nov05&hash=item1e6d37abe9#ht_711wt_1396) but its a slower processor and 5870 CF. You could probably get $900 or so for yours (that GPU is really dated at this point.

A;ways remember that you will get more out of an idiot than someone that knows computers well.
