Help PC To PC Connection

Greetings,

I have a question how to connect my pc to another pc. The thing is like this, I have brother who is living in German and has a laptop with Window Vista and i resided in US and have a laptop with Window XP. Both of us have internate connection/Access. I want to install him a software from my computer to his computer by connecting and accessing his laptop. Just to make long story short how could i able to access his computer from my computer either via internte or any other mechanism and access his computer fully. Is any one could help me it would be great and i appreciate.

well i was gonna suggest Remote desktop but am not sure it will work.
why not make your brother ask his ISP to put him on a top-level domain where only you can be given access with a user name and a password ?

patrickv, why not Remote Desktop connection? You could just ask for your brother's IP and then go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Remote Desktop Connection
Enter the IP and click on Connect.
This should work.
